Studio 917’s September 15th “Pop-Up Show”

Featured: 12 local artists from the Douglas Arizona area. Artists who sold their works are:

A big thank you to Douglas staff, business owners and volunteers for making the September 15 “Energize Douglas” such a success. Food, music, dancing, vendors, games - quite an evening. Studio 917 and local artists benefitted in several ways. Our “Pop-Up” show attracted 14 local artists from 8 years-old to seniors. At 5pm people were at the door and the first piece sold. Twenty-two works were displayed, 12 artists attended and we had conversations that ranged from art to everything. By the end of the evening 47 people had visited, about half were first-timers.
It was especially nice that several of the artists had never shown their work in public. Some of the buyers had never bought an original work (and met the artist!) before.
