Andres Campas 45 Born and raised in Douglas, Arizona. Graduated from Douglas High School. I am a local artist who is self-taught and has always been inspired by many artists, especially Leonardo da Vinci. I admire that he truly was the epitome of a Renaissance man.
It wasn't until I came across Studio 917 that I wanted to begin exhibiting my art. My inspiration comes from nature, geological and cultural history, especially our local history. I've done murals, portraits, chalk and graffiti art, digital and media art, tattoos, designed and created parade floats, logos for athletic and work gear and clothing as well. I've painted with acrylic and oil on canvas, but my medium of choice is ball point pen, pencil, and colored pencils on paper. When I draw, I want to capture the spirit, make lines and colors come alive. I like drawing details, movement and creating depth with shadow and light.
